X2S™ MOD-3
DESCRIPTION
HIPERFIRE® is simply unmatched in performance and reliability. We have broken all of the standards in single-stage AR triggers with our HIPERTOUCH® family, and now we have done the same in our new X2S™ family of two-stage triggers. Whether you shoot competitively, train to defend yourself and your family, or you simply want to enjoy shooting out on the range, ensuring your rifle functions properly every time, without fail, is important. Our new two-stage triggers feature the same technology that HIPERFIRE has become known for. Radical Sear Mechanics™, Cam-Over Toggle Engine™, Soft Start Lock-Up™, Tactile Weightless Break™, user adjustable pull weights, mil-grade components, and precision manufacturing processes come together to make one of the most robust two-stage triggers available today. The MOD-3 design has a shorter first stage than MOD-1 for a faster first stage prep. It shares the same sear geometry and performance as its MOD-2 counterpart, but has a flat trigger bow with our patented HIPERSHOE® and an upgraded Black Nitride coating. This trigger can be used with or without the included HIPERSHOE.HIGHLIGHTS
- Two-stage AR trigger
- Minimal, user adjustable, 2 - 3 pound first stage
- Minimal second stage wall with a 1 1/2 pound weight
- Total 3 1/2 - 4 1/2 pound pull with green or red springs respectively
- Distinct wall between first and second stages allows for effective "prepping" of the trigger for added control
- Clean, effortless break
- Weightless, imperceptible over-travel
FEATURES
- Cam-Over Toggle Engine allows for lighter pull weights without losing hammer strike energy
- Soft Start Lock-Up aids in eliminating rifle "flinch" after the break for more accurate shots at distance
- Radical Sear Mechanics allow for the use of heavier hammer springs to aid in longevity and eliminating light primer strikes
- Tactile Weightless Break means there is no mushy over-travel after the break
- Flat trigger bow
- HIPERSHOE finger pad reduces the perceived trigger pull weight for a lighter feel
- First stage slightly shorter than the MOD-1 design
- Same sear design as its MOD-2 counterpart, but a flat trigger bow with upgraded Black Nitride coating

HIPERTOUCH® Genesis: “HIPERFIRE has taken triggers to an entirely new level – a drastic improvement over a Mil-Spec trigger and more importantly – the HIPERTOUCH Genesis trigger systems are giving the top names in triggers a serious run for their money! Unlike their competition the HIPERTOUCH Genesis trigger system provides higher hammer fall energy for more consistent and reliable primer strikes – even with .22 rimfire conversion kits and the entire system is easily user configurable for different trigger pull weights! Here is where the magic lies – the HIPERTOUCH Genesis trigger system is an amalgamation of ‘old school’ and ‘new school’ designs providing an extremely smooth, light weight, consistent trigger pull with minimal creep and an extremely quick trigger reset. Rapid split times and minimal gun movement are easily accomplished with the HIPERTOUCH Genesis system. The ‘old school’ part of the design will look and feel very similar to anyone familiar with the standard fire control mechanism of an AR platform rifle. The trigger, disconnector and the hammer assembly look familiar but with some modifications. The trigger and hammer springs are standard wire springs. When these old school parts assemble into a lower receiver you get a really crisp trigger with an excellent pull. In fact – most people would be thrilled to have a trigger of this quality! – BUT – 1/3 of the parts aren’t installed yet! … Here is where HIPERFIRE has integrated the ‘new school’ into the design. The HIPERTOUCH Genesis has added additional parts to its fire control system that dramatically improve an already excellent trigger pull. The additional components provide for an even smoother, lighter and more consistent trigger pull via the use of a matched pair of coil springs held in place by guide rods. The springs and rods connect to the hammer allowing a progressively increasing hammer fall force as the springs decompress. The use of the additional springs to increase hammer fall force has enabled HIPERFIRE to maximize the trigger geometry to create an unbelievably smooth, light trigger pull.”
HIPERTOUCH Elite: “I just installed a Hyperfire Elite trigger in my AR-10. My goal was to cure some fail to fire issues due to light primer strikes using some foreign military surplus ammo. I have only installed an AR trigger once before and was thinking the Hyperfire trigger could be a problem for me to install. It was way easier than I thought. I did learn one trick to pass along. The trigger and hammer installation is very straight forward. Compressing the coil springs looked like a problem area. I used a 5/32 inch pin punch (flat working end) and cupped my free hand over the spring assembly to prevent lost springs. Success on the first attempt with no flying parts. The trick is to position the yoke just above the notch where it will rest. Push straight in and slightly downward and it falls right into place. The difference between the Elite trigger and military stock trigger is amazing.”
